I try to incorporate as many different massage modalities into my practice as possible, which is why I am always taking classes to learn new massage techniques. If there is something that you like, or works well for you, but is not listed as a service, please ask.
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is designed to increase circulation and blood flow to the extremities using long flowing strokes.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue techniques are generally designed for more focused massage work. Working a specific joint, muscle or muscle group, I can access deeper layers of the soft tissue.
Pregnancy/ Post Partum Massage
Pregnancy is a time when women can truly appreciate the benefits of massage. It can help women to cope with the physical and physiological changes of pregnancy. The fact is that the benefits of massage do transfer to the developing baby as well. Post partum massage is just as important as pregnancy massage as the new mother adjusts to her pre-pregnancy state and adjusts to her new role as a mother.
Reflexology
Reflexology is the application of pressure, stretch, and movement to the feet and hands to effect corresponding parts of the body. This is a very effective non-invasive treatment course.
Reiki
Reiki is one of the more widely known forms of energy healing. Energy Healing involves direct application of Chi for the purpose of strengthening the clients energy system (aura). Chi is the term used by the Chinese mystics and martial artists for the underlying force the Universe is made of. Again, this is a non-invasive treatment course for clients looking for non-massage techniques.
